The Best Beaches in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Beaches here may have calm waters or incredible breakers with world-class surf. Both families and single travelers can find a beach to suit their needs in Puerto Rico. Luquillo Beach, Ocean Beach, and Pine Grove Beach are some of the popular beaches in Puerto Rico.
For Surfing: Surfers from all over the world throng the northwest coast of Puerto Rico. The main place for surfing is Rincon, while Isabela and Aguadilla are also popular. Some popular beaches in the area are Domes, Tres Palmas, and Puntas.
For Swimming: Pine Grove Beach is a white-sand beach with an offshore reef that completely shelters the waters and makes it convenient for people to swim in the sea. If one moves further east one can try surfing, body surfing, and boogie boarding. Pine Grove Beach links to the Carolina Public Beach, which has a number of restaurants and restroom services for visitors.
For Singles: Ocean Park Beach is more for singles and adults than families. Visitors here can indulge in swimming, paddle tennis, and kite surfing. The beach is also a place where the young get together over the weekends. Both locals and tourists can have a great time on the Ocean Park Beach.
For Families: Luquillo Beach is popular with locals and visiting families. The waters on Luquillo Beach are clearer than those in San Juan. Located on the eastern end of the island, Luquillo Beach has picnic areas with facilities such as showers, changing rooms and lockers.
For the Scenery: Boquern Beach is a tropical paradise. Tranquil waters as well as facilities such as bathrooms, lockers, showers, and cafeterias make it a perfect place for families. There are also open-air establishments selling drinks and seafood. The scenery here is simply breathtaking, and allows plenty of opportunities for taking photographs.
